The Guides and Scouts of Finland and Finnjamboree Roihu express their deepest condolences to the friends and family of the tragic medical situation that resulted in the death of a scout. We feel deeply sorry for their loss.

The loss has moved thousands of people within and outside the camp. It is understandable, that the situation raises different kinds of emotions and thoughts that may be difficult to process alone. The camp has professional crisis counselors that are making their utmost best that everybody has the support they require.

We are grateful, that the scout movement is a homogenous global community that has the strength to support one another even in difficult situations. We will create a better world by working together - in both good and bad times. We wish that every scout in and outside the camp will help to bear the grief of the family and friends. To aid us in processing this difficult situation, one can join hands, respect the mourning and show compassion to those most in need.

The camp participants can honour the deceased and show their respect to the family and friends by participating in memorial services on Monday 25th of July at 17.00 (in English) at the main stage, and 18.15 (in Finnish) and 22.15 (in Finnish) at the camp chapel. The camp participants can also pay their respects at the flag pole of the British Flag.
