More information about each badge below!

How to apply

You can start by creating a user account with Open Badge Passport. This is where all your personal badges will be displayed. It is a personal account where you can manage badges and decide where and how the information will be shared. Creating the account is free. Remember which email address you have used for the account registration as you will need it on your badge application.

Only individuals can apply for the badges. Choose which badge you want to apply for and open the online application form. You can apply for as many badges you like, or apply for the same badge in different languages (Finnish, Swedish, English). Answer the questions on the application form. You can also add attachments such as picture or video to further evidence your skills. When e.g. choosing the attached documents, please note that your answers to the exercises required for gaining the badge are public information.

The skills and competencies you aim to demonstrate with your application do not necessarily have to be related to scouting. Experience gained elsewhere also counts!

There is no need to finish your application in one go – you can save your answers and continue working on it later on. When you're done, submit your application.

You can accept your badge through the Open Badge Passport. Once your badge has been approved, make sure to include it in your CV and job applications, share it on social media and/or show your certificate at your school to gain study points.
